Ride Reviews

Storm Runner

Rocket coasters are poping up all over America. But not many do you see one with INVERSIONS!!! No that is not a typo. Hershey Park recieved the first rocket coaster with inversions in 2004 and this coaster is INSANE!!! It may not be as big as its brothers Kingda Ka and Top Thrill Dragster. Unlike the other two, this coaster doesn't twist on its way down. This is a must ride for anyone visiting Hershey Park.

Maverick

It may not be as big as other coasters but that doesn't mean it isn't insane. This coaster opened in 2007 and was voted the best new ride that year. Twist, turns inversions and a mid course LAUNCH! Not mid course brake run, LAUNCH! This coaster launches you from 0 to 70 in a very dark tunnel. The lines for this coaster can get long so ride this one early along with Top Thrill Dragster and Millenium Force.

Boulder Dash

Custom Coasters International always built masterpeices in the company's operation. But quite possibly their best coaster could be Boulder Dash. 115 feet high isn't really big but reaching 60 mph and it feels alot faster going through the woods. This thing is an airtime machine. After climbing the lift hill and doing a 180 degree turn around to the drop. Everything is different on each ride. But one thing is for sure, you will always experience EPIC airtime on this ride.

Phantom's Revenge

Kennywood in West Mifflin just outside of Pittsburgh recieved an Arrow coaster that was the fastest in the world when it opened. It also had the longest drop of any coaster in the world. It was the Steel Phantom. But in 2001 the coaster was refurbished and the drop was extended by 3 feet and the 4 inversions the coaster originaly had were removed. The refurbishment came courtesy of Morgan Matufacturing. This is still the tallest and fastest coaster at Kennywood. It is Phantom's Revenge.

Hydra the Revenge

In 2003, a classic Dinn Corperation coaster Hercules was taken down for Hydra the Revenge. According to myths Hercules took down Hydra in an epic battle. But according to Dorney Park Hydra took down Hercules. It is not the biggest floorless coaster but it features some first of it's kind elements. It features the Jo-Jo Roll which is a barrel roll right outside the station. It also features the Inclined Dive Loop. It is a great coaster so ride this coaster when you are at Dorney Park.
